Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the 11% increase in VAT rates on the purchasing power of people in Palembang City. The data used is primary data. The population in this study were consumers domiciled in Palembang City. The sampling technique was purposive sampling with a sample size of 56 respondents. The results of the study with simple regression testing using the SPSS application showed that the 11% increase in VAT rates had no effect on people's purchasing power.
