Abstract
This research aims to find out the correlation between students’ ethical writing behavior and their writing achievement. Twenty nine students of English Language Education Study Program Students at Musi Charitas Catholic University Palembang were involved as the sample by implementing convenience sampling technique. For data collection, the researcher used questionnaire to obtain data about students’ awareness and ethical writing behavior toward plagiarism and writing test to assess students’ writing skill. It was analyzed by using Pearson Product Moment Formula (SPSS 2022). Since the significant value was 0.558 and the Pearson correlation value was 0.114, it was concluded that there was no significant correlation between students’ ethical writing behavior and their writing achievement. It is expected that this research gives a positive impact to students and will increase their awareness about ethical writing behavior, especially plagiarism in academic writing context.
