Abstract

Based on a survey conducted by Zhan et al, nurse work stress refers to the reaction and state of mental and physical stress of nurses caused by congnitive and subjective and objective conditions at work that exceed the adaptability of nurses in the workplace. In addition, work stress can also be influenced by supervisor support because it will relate to motivation while sense of humor expresses emotions and expresses feelings. This study is to find out the relationship between sense of humor and supervisor support with work stress in nurses. The research method in this study is a quantitative method with data collection techniques using Likert scales including the sense of humor scale with a reliability of 0.756, while the supervisor support scale with a reliability of 0.954 and work stress with a reliability of 0.844. This study uses multiple regression analysis statistical techniques, based on the results of the study showed that sense of humor and supervisor support on job stress with a significance value of 0.000 and a percentage value of 29.6%. While the sense of humor on job stress has a significance value of 0.253 so it can be said that there is no relationship between sense of humor and job stress.
