Abstract
Continuity of Care (COC) Midwifery Care is a continuous midwifery service starting from pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum and neonates which aims to prevent the risk of complications. It is hoped that this midwifery care may reduce the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) which are still relatively high in Indonesia. The World Health Organization (WHO) stated that in 2020 the MMR reached 287,000 and the IMR was 2.4 million. Indonesia's MMR in 2015 was still relatively high at 305/100,000 KH and IMR was 22/1,000 KH, then in Palembang City the 2020 MMR was 128 people and Perinatal Mortality (PNM) was 3/1000 KH. In this study, the Continuity of Care (COC) Midwifery Care for Mrs. “F” in Independent Practice Midwife “E” was done from May 26, 2023 to November 23, 2023. It started from the first trimester of pregnancy until delivery, newborns, postpartum and neonates. Data collection techniques involved primary and secondary data using a midwifery management approach based on “Spiritual Charitas” values. The results showed that from the first pregnancy check up to the third trimester, Mrs. "F" had no complaints on pregnancies, childbirth, newborns, the postpartum period and the neonates are in normal conditions. Finally, advice is addressed to practice areas to maintain and improve the quality and quantity of existing midwifery services.
