Abstract

Background: The planned surgical procedure can cause a psychological response in the patient in the form of anxiety. Anxiety is a feeling of worry that has no clear cause, which is based on a feeling of uncertainty and helplessness. Anxiety treatment can be done by providing pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapy. Non-pharmacological therapy to reduce anxiety levels that can be carried out by nurses, one of which is classical music therapy. Classical music can help patients feel calmer, reduce stress, create a sense of security and prosperity, release feelings of sadness, make them happy, so that it can maintain and develop mental, physical and emotional health. Objective: To determine the frequency distribution of anxiety levels in preoperative patients after being given classical music therapy in the operating room Siloam Silampari Lubuklinggau. Method This type of research is a one-shot casei study where the paradigm can be read as a sequence: there is a group that has a behavior/behavior and then it can only be observed intuitively to see the results. Based on the results: Of this research, the number of reispondein was 22 reispondein with an average reispondein of 33 years. There were 5 female respondents (22.7%) who had male respondents and 17 female respondents (77.3%). Suggestion: Classical music therapy can reduce the level of anxiety in patients who will undergo meinuiruin surgery
