Abstract
Introduction: Approaching death is a final process of human life or death which is marked by the permanent cessation of the heart and lungs and the permanent cessation of brain function. Dying care is an action provided to increase the comfort of someone who is nearing the end of their life. Nurses must be able to provide maximum care by helping to reduce pain, create comfort, create dignity, feel peace and closeness to the family. Objective: The aim of this research is to explore nurses' experiences in implementing pre-natal care. Method: This research uses a qualitative design with a phenomenological approach. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with 5 participants. Analysis of research data using Colaizzi. The data collection technique is by means of in-depth interviews in accordance with the guidelines. Results: The research results showed that there were 9 themes, namely (1) signs of symptoms of dying patients, (2) focus of dying care, (3) emotional response of nurses in carrying out dying care, (4) pain management for dying patients, (5) fulfilling the need for comfort in patients nearing death, (6) respecting the dignity of patients in carrying out actions, (7) bio-psycho social and spiritual needs, (8) support for families of patients nearing death, (9) obstacles in carrying out care before dying. death. Suggestion: It is hoped that the results of this research can become an additional reference source in the field of Nursing Science and also become a material for learning studies in the scope of Critical Nursing
