Abstract

This research aims to examine the implementation of safety stock, layout, and first in first out on inventory control in grocery stores in Palembang city. The rapid development of technology and increased business compettion in Indonesian has highlighted the importance of inventory management for entrepreneurs, especially in the UMKM sector, such ad grocery stores, which have significant potential to support the national economy and serve consumers in remote areas inaccessible to modern markets. This study adopts a descriptive research design with a qualitative approach. inovoling 7 grocery store owners in Palembang city are involved as the research participants. Data for this research are collected through interviews and literature study. The data analysis techniques employed in this study include data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The findings indicate that safety stock, layout, and first in first out have a positive influence on inventory control in grocery stores in Palembang city.
