Abstract

Architecture is the science of designing and building, where an architect must be able to know construction directly in the field. Practical work is one of the mandatory courses that architecture students must undertake so that students can compare and apply the knowledge they have learned in theory with that in the field. In completing this course, observations, monitoring, and interviews are carried out directly in the field to understand the implementation of building construction in the form of brick walls, floor, and stair structures. The construction of the stairs went well and smoothly, during the field process of wall and floor construction there were a few problems but they were resolved which will be discussed in this report. Construction was carried out on a 2.5-story residential house in Palembang City with direct observation by the author from March 1, 2023 to August 21, 2023. It is hoped that this practical work can increase the knowledge of the author and readers.
