Abstract
This study aims to determine whether there is a positive reaction from the company's new dividend after a minimum of two consecutive periods does not distribute dividends. In this study, a population which is used throughout the company listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange. Samples were determined by using a purposive sampling method. The sample obtained was as much 77 companies. Testing the hypothesis using non-parametric wilcoxon one sample with the help SPSS versi 17.0. The test results showed that the hypothesis that there isi a positive reaction when a new company to distribute dividends after a period of at least two consecutive dividends, decline. Because this analysis, it shows that the market reacts negative significantly during the observation.
