Abstract
Introduction: Cervical cancer is one of the most common cancers in women, which occurs when cells that line the cervix to the bottom of the uterus experience abnormal growth beyond the body's control, resulting in abnormal growth of the cervix. Cervical cancer does not show clear early signs and symptoms, but it can be detected if found early by early detection of cervical cancer. Early detection of cervical cancer is a health intervention that aims to detect abnormal cells, pre- cancerous lesions, and cervical cancer, so that cervical cancer found at an early stage can be treated quickly. Objective : This study aims to analyze the relationship between knowledge and attitudes with early detection of cervical cancer in women of childbearing age. Methods: The research method used is descriptive quantitative using correlation design and cross sectional approach. Results: The univariate results of this study were 63 respondents (38.1%) who were in early adulthood, 136 respondents (82.4%) who had "married" marital status, 157 respondents who had never done early detection of cervical cancer. (95.2%), respondents with good knowledge were 80 people (48.5%), and respondents with sufficient attitude were 102 people (61.8%). The bivariate result of this study is that there is a relationship between knowledge and early detection of cervical cancer (p = 0.025). There is a relationship between attitude and early detection of cervical cancer (p=0.028). Suggestion: This research is expected to be an additional source of reference in the field of Maternity Nursing Science.
