Abstract
This study aims to analyze the characteristics of the Independent Curriculum in SD Xaverius 02 Palembang. Educators focus on the four characteristics of the Independent Curriculum, namely the development of soft skills and character, focusing on essential materials, flexible learning, and projects to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques use interview techniques, documentation in the form of data, documents and images. As well as the observation of one of the passive respondents at school to be studied. The subjects of this study were educators both homeroom teachers and fields of study in grades 1 and 4 totaling 17 respondents at SD Xaverius 02 Palembang. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the characteristics of the Independent Curriculum at SD Xaverius 02 Palembang are implemented and run well according to the expectations of schools and the government in implementing the latest curriculum. So that researchers obtain the results of research charts on the application of the characteristics of the Independent Curriculum in schools can be carried out in educators and students, which are created by researchers through indicators that have previously been validated by the three validators.
