Abstract

This study aims to find out how the performance of security guards in creating a conducive school environment, as well as the obstacles experienced and found while working. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques are interviews, observation, and documentation. This research was conducted at Palembang Baptist Elementary School with research subjects of 4 security guards and supported by data from the school principal, data analysis techniques using miles and huberman which consisted of data collection, data presentation, data reduction and drawing conclusions. From the results of the research and discussion that in this study it turns out that the performance of security guards is seen in various aspects including quality of work, quantity of work, timeliness, effectiveness, commitment besides that there are obstacles and solutions. can be concluded as follows. First, the performance of a good security guard can affect behavior and discipline. Second, the obstacles that occur can be resolved by mutual communication and mutual cooperation between security guards. Keywords: Performance, Barriers, Conducive
