Abstract

This study aims to determine the writing skills of students at SD Xaverius 4 Palembang. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The instruments used in this study were observation, interviews and written tests. The test was carried out three times. This study uses time triangulation. The source of this research is the teacher of class III C and all students of class III. In this study, there are two assessment criteria, namly the criteria for the accuracy of capital letters and the accuracy are 5 students with high scores. In the punctuation criteria, 0 students got high scores, 3 students got moderate scores, and 16 students got low scores. Based on these results, it can be concluded that sentence writing skills in SD Xaverius 4 Palembang ar low. Keywords : Writing, Skills, Qualitative.
