Abstract

Flourishing is a positive psychological concept that describes individuals who can develop optimally despite being under pressure. This study aims to determine the described of flourishing in middle-aged single women. Interviews were conducted semi-structured and then analyzed using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis. Primary data or main data in the form of interviews with subjects and secondary data or supporting data in the form of books, dissertations, theses, journals, articles and the internet. This study uses the concept of flourishing proposed by Seligman. Subjects consisted of 3 people with middle age category. The results showed that not all subjects described a flourishing life and not all middle-aged single women received a negative stigma. Keywords: Flourishing; single women; middle-aged
