Abstract
When born, humans bring gifts, talents, and abilities which are gifts from God Almighty. Every individual in society has different talents and abilities from one another. As human beings created by God, we have an obligation to develop and appreciate the talents He has given us. Even so, currently there are still many individuals who do not realize the potential of their talents due to the lack of facilities or media that can accommodate and channel the talents of everyone, especially in the Palembang area. so it is necessary to have facilities that can accommodate all these activities both in terms of function, architecture, and the environment. Therefore, a building with an attractive facade and adequate facilities such as rehearsal rooms, galleries, multipurpose hall, outdoor and indoor performance stages with a good acoustic system and atmosphere is very important. This talent show center building is designed with an architectural ecology approach. The development is carried out by optimizing the use of natural energy in the building while maintaining the preservation of the surrounding environment. The theme to be used is metamorphosis by applying the concept of a butterfly analogy. The intended metamorphosis describes the purpose of the building as a container/medium to facilitate the development of the individual in society to develop, then the concept of butterflies describes the possibilities/opportunities of a person in developing into a better person and transcending his limits.
