Abstract

Bihun Cap Udang Bintang factory is engaged in the production of bihun under the brand of Cap Udang Bintang. Because the work stations are too close each other, it is necessary to adjust the distance between machines based on their placement. The method used in this study is the CRAFT (Computerizer Relative Allocation of Facilities Technique) method so that it can provide optimal solutions in terms of material handling costs with input from data from to chart (FTC) and rectilinear distance calculations to produce facility layouts with mileage short one. The results of the proposed layout can minimize the distance and material handling costs for 1 working day of 7,500 m and Rp. 8,890.00.
