Abstract

Kerupuk and Kemplang 503 Factory owned by Mr. Anthony Salim had problems in the process of transporting the finished product to the warehouse. This is due to the decline at the time of delivery of the product from the production site to the warehouse, it requires new transportation means to solve the problem. The transportation tool newly designed and made by the method of Appropriate Technology is considering aspects of worker’s anthropometry. This tool has a dimension of 247cm x 76cm x 73cm and there on the left and right brake handle conveyances, conveyances also include oil drainer on the body conveyances, the cost to manufacture these tool is Rp.1.860.000, -. That has Payback Period in 2 days and Break Event Point Rp. 17.646.058,-. The existence of these tools can reduce worker in the process of transporting the crackers and kemplang using 1 worker. The processing time needed for the process of draining and transporting kerupuk and kemplang to shed the old tool is ±8 minutes, whereas with this new toll only takes 7±minutes. Once the tool is created and can be produced with a large amount in order to assist UKM of kerupuk and kemplang or the other UKM food.
