Abstract

In an era of technological developments, as now, the efficiency of time and effort is needed in education. Professionalism of teaching staff (lecturers) in the education will be met if supported by adequate infrastructure. During this system of records in the office stationery Sekolah Tinggi Teknik Musi still manual. Thus through this thesis will be an application that is able to overcome it. Stationery Office Information Systems serves as a medium which allows professors to hold a decision, and make it easier to see the inventory of existing staff, both in terms of stock calculations and reports required. Research steps of this thesis are analysis, system design and system testing. The method used in this application system design with a structured approach from design to design databases Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) and Data Flow Diagrams (DFD). Application of this system will provide information about the availability of stationery and office staff lecturers will serve the demand supply Stationery Office with Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 as programming language, and Microsoft SQL Server 2000 as its database system. Based on the test results can be concluded that information systems can provide convenience to the faculty to see the stock and the system can figure out the rest of the stock of existing stationary, the system can provide information on the reported transactions that take place both additions and reductions.
