Abstract
PT Adhya Tirta Sriwijaya is a regional company that produces drinking water. The water treatment process starts from coagulation, flockulation, sedimentation, filtration and disinfection. The filtration process in filtration has great benefits in processing raw water into drinking water. Filtration that filters raw water, needs to be washed so that it can filter water properly. The filter cleaning is carried out by the operator by utilizing the water in the filter to wash all parts of the filter so that it becomes clean from the remaining dirt during the water filtering process. The problem faced by PT Adhya Tirta Sriwijaya is that the duration of filter washing is not regular and has not been based on laboratory test observations, especially on the value of water color and water turbidity. In this study, descriptive analysis method was used to evaluate the filter washing. The application of this method is done by collecting data related to water filters such as water color, turbidity / water turbidity which can determine the duration of washing the water filter. Processing data with descriptive analysis method. Then associated the relationship between the value of water color and the value of turbidity / water turbidity on the effect of washing the water filter for a duration of three months.
