Abstract

Industrial development in Indonesia is increasingly entering this era of globalization and the increasing need makes industrial owners have to increase productivity. UKM Garuda is an industry that sells rolled cake and toothpick cakes. According to the owner, the demand has not been fulfilled because it can only produce 20-25kg / day and the demand is around 25-30kg / day. From the results of the research that has been done, it can be seen that the problem is unproductive human resources. The main factor that causes unproductive is the tidy and hot working environment in the room. To overcome this complaint, the 5S implementation and the addition of a fan are carried out. The implementation of 5S seiri is done by separating the equipment that is not used, seiton by tidying the tools used, seiso by cleaning the tools and work environment, seiketsu by making work instructions so that the worker works according to the rules, and shitsuke is the proposal to regular supervision so that you can continue to run 4S which is expected to become a habit. With the 5S implementation, productivity was increased by 0.011 for twist parts and 0.31 for cadaver and frying parts.
