Abstract

Floating Restaurant is a recreation area and tourists. Floating Restaurant consists of several facilities, namely restaurant building, recreation area, floating restaurant, souvenir shop and office for the manager. All these facilities are accommodated in three building masses. Floating Restaurant Development has several benefits, among them is to accommodate the recreation activities of the people of Palembang, to become one of the typical food culinary Palembang for tourists, and serves as a landmark of the city of Palembang. In addition, the presence of Floating Restaurant can also be the identity of one tourist icon located in Palembang. The theme applied in Floating Restaurant design is "Waterfront". This theme is manifested in the building through Traditional forms with the Neo-Vernacular architectural style. This theme is used to make the Palembang resources on the Musi River usable and the natural beauty of nature can be shown by the characteristic of Palembang which is not lost with features such as Floating houses and Limas houses so that Palembang residents can enjoy the distinctive features it's almost gone in the area of the Palembang Musi River.
