Abstract
Home Industry Kemplang and Crackers "199" has obstacles such as product defects generated during the cutting process kemplang and time pieces were deemed old enough. Because of these problems, it will dirancangan kemplang cutting tools by using value engineering. Kemplang cutting process originally used the knife. Product defects produced per day was 10.8 kilograms. Time to cut a piece kemplang was 1.8 minutes. Observations were made for 12 days. Due to problems that occurred, the researchers designed a cutting tool that can help menggurangi problems that occur in the home industry. Once finished cutting tools are designed, furthermore the researcher implements cutting tools. The results obtained from the product defect is 5.48. Pounds and cut time to 0.87 minutes
