Abstract

Working condition is condition of working environment for work. Good working condition can make workers feel comfortable and improve productivity. Productivity is needed to measure the productive level of workers. Ibu Dewi’s Home Industry of Peyek has not implemented an ergonomic working environment that has an impact on job fatigue. The lack of proper working equipments is also affecting. High fatigue will also decrease productivity. Fatigue level of worker in Ibu Dewi’s Home Industry of Peyek which is measured by heart rate is ranged 83 beats per minute with a productivity of 3.24% and workspace temperature up to 38oC. Modification is implemented with the addition of working tools such as a working table and a working chair as well as a ceiling fan to reduce the temperature of working room. After the modification of the working environment, fatigue was reduced with a reduced heart rate by 4,8%, followed by decreased temperature to 34oC and an increase in productivity by 0.94% and reduction in working time by 20 minutes.
