Abstract

The concept of Parental burnout is defined as a state of exhausting parenting because the role of parents creates barriers to effective parenting. This study aims to compare parental burnout in terms of the number of children, income level, occupation, education level and social support. This research method uses a quantitative approach with data analysis using Mann-Whitney and Krustal-Wallis. Data collection techniques use a parental burnout scale, support scale and questionnaire questions about the level. There were 170 respondents who participated in this study with the established criteria (father = 83) and (mother = 87) which were collected online using google form. Based on the results of this study, it shows that fathers experience higher parental burnout than mothers. There are differences in the number of children, marital status, income level and social support. There is no difference in parental burnout in terms of parental education and occupation. The results of the study showed that financial and economic conditions had no impact on parental burnout, fathers had higher parental burnout conditions than mothers.
