Abstract

PT Pusri is a large industry producing bulk urea and urea in bag. In this study focuses on the distribution process of urea fertilizer warehouse in bag to dock. The distribution process is done with urea in bag which is in pallet transported to truck using forklift incurring cost Rp 4.880/ton then truck to dock incurring cost Rp 7,750/ton and urea in bag is dropped and arranged into net and crane lifts the net ships incurring cost Rp 12,496/ton. By using the distribution, the ship loading system is considered inefficient because of the decrease of urea in bag fertilizer before it is loaded onto the vessel, resulting in increased labor costs. Based on these problems, it is necessary to conduct an investment feasibility analysis using container using B/C Ratio method in order to know the feasibility of the investment. After calculating the feasibility of using container investment is obtained savings of Rp 4.955.47/ton and the value of B/C Ratio is more than 1 that is 1.391.
