Abstract

The growth of the car accessory industry in Palembang is accompanied by challenges in maintaining employee loyalty, which is often influenced by compensation systems and working conditions. This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of compensation and working conditions on employee loyalty at car accessory stores in the city of Palembang. This study uses a quantitative approach with a sample size of 191 respondents selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data collection was conducted through a questionnaire using a Likert scale. Data analysis techniques included validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, F-tests, t-tests, and determination coefficients using SPSS version 25 software. The results of the study indicate that compensation and work environment simultaneously have a positive and significant influence on employee loyalty. Partially, the compensation and work environment variables also showed a positive and significant influence on loyalty. These findings indicate that employees tend to be more loyal to the company when they feel valued through fair compensation and work in a comfortable and supportive environment. Therefore, it is important for car dealership management to design a fair compensation system and create a conducive work environment as an effort to continuously improve employee loyalty.
