Abstract
Background: Hypertension is a chronic medical condition caused by abnormal increase in blood pressure that continues and exceeds normal limits with systolic pressure ≥140 mmHg and diastolic pressure 290 mmHg. Physical exercise is one of the pillars of blood pressure reduction management, this activity is recommended for people with hypertension is light exercise (walking) which can be done to help lower blood pressure. Method: The research method used is descriptive using a case study approach by describing cases in 3 patients with hypertension. Subjects were selected according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. The intervention given was physical activity therapy walking drawing for 3 days within 15 minutes. Results: After the intervention of implementing physical activity of walking for 3 days with a time of 15 minutes for 3 consecutive days, it was found that there was a decrease in blood pressure as shown by the results of respondent 1's blood pressure pre 170/100 mmHg. post 140/90mmHg. Respondent 2 said pre 160/100 mmHg. post 130/80 mmHg. Respondent 3 pre 150/90 mmHg post 120/80mmHg. Suggestion: It is hoped that respondents will be able to implement this physical activity of walking independently to help lower blood pressure. Keywords: Physical activity walking and hypertension
