Abstract

Background: Nursing quality is one of the main indicators that can affect the level of patient satisfaction and is a benchmark for the extent to which health services provided meet the established standards. Hospitals as public services are required to be able to carry out nursing services through minimum service standards oriented to patient satisfaction through improving the quality of nursing services. Objective: Knowing the relationship between the quality of nursing services and patient satisfaction in the inpatient room of the South Sumatra Provincial Government Hospital. Methods: This type of research is quantitative with a correlation design with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique uses purpose sampling, the population of 89 sample respondents was selected based on inclusion criteria. The data collection tool uses questionnaires designed by researchers. The data analysis used was bivariate analysis using the Kendal test Tau_b Results: The results of this study found that the quality of nursing services in the category 72 respondents (80.89%) very satisfied as many as 59 respondents (66.29%). kendall statistical test results tau_b obtained a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that there is a relationship between nursing quality and patient satisfaction.and has a positive relationship direction with a correlation coefficient value of 0.681 means having a strong relationship closeness. Suggestion: The results of this study are expected to be information for the South Sumatra Provincial Government Hospital by maintaining good quality nursing services in order to increase patient satisfaction.
