Abstract

Background:Hypertension is a condition where blood pressure is above normal. Hypertension can be controlled by carrying out management, this is important for people with hypertension in order to prevent the occurrence of a complication. Management that can be done by providing relaxation therapy benson. Objective : The application of evidence based practice aims to apply benson relaxation therapy to hypertension sufferers. Method:This case study used a descriptive method with a nursing process approach which was carried out on 2 patients who received a one group pretest posttest design. Results:The majority of respondents aged ≥40 years as many as 2 respondents (100%) and had suffered from hypertension for a long time. > 5 years as many as 2 respondents (100%) and the intervention was carried out for 3 days Mrs.M on the first day before being given therapy 150/100 mmHg after being given therapy on day 3 136/88 mmHg, while for Mrs.I on the first day before being given therapy 150/90 mmHg after being given therapy on day 3 136/78 mmHg, from the implementation results that have been carried out there is an effect before and after the benson relaxation therapy.
