Abstract

Novita Sari, NIM: 1634014, 2020.The Differences in Secondary Homogenization Techniques Was 8 times and Secondary Homogenized Was Not Carried Out On The Number Of Leukocytes in Students /i Catholic University Musi Charitas Palembang Year 2020. Thesis. Medical Laboratory Technology Div Study Program Faculty of Health Sciences Musi Charitas Catholic University Palembang. Background: Leukocytes are one of the hematological examinations. Blood samples that have been taken must be homogenized in order for the blood to be distributed normally so that there is no deposition of homogenization done by way of alternating /inversion. In the process of deposition of blood that is silenced will experience precipitation that lasts in 10 minutes. Therefore, blood research was not done secondary homogenization and was homogenized secondary 8 times to prove that there are differences or not on leukocytes examination. Method: This type of research is a Pre research experiment with Static Group Comparison blood checked using the Sysmex XP-100 tool with the Apeture Impedance Counters method. The research was conducted at the UKMC Fikes Laboratory. The samples used in this study of FIKes UKMC students were taken in acidental sampling. The data is analyzed using the Paired T test. Results: At the examination of the number of unhomogenized secondary leukocytes on average obtained results of 3.71 10³/μL, on secondary homogenized leukocytes examination 8 times obtained an average result of 7.3 10³/μL. The test results showed a meaningful difference between secondary homogenization 8 times and not homogenized secondary with ρ = 0.000 (<0.05). Conclusion: Based on this study it can be concluded that on the examination of the number of leukocytes there is a difference in the results of secondary homogenized leukocytes examination 8 times and not homogenized secondary.
