Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the differences between family business management managed by the family (Family Business Enterprise) and family businesses managed by non-family parties (Family Owned Enterprise). This study uses a qualitative approach to obtain in-depth data regarding family business management and how to maintain a family business from the perspective of family business owners and managers. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviews. Data analysis is used to simplify data so that data is easy to understand and can be concluded. The results of the study show that family business management is better managed by the family itself. The most frequent differences that arise due to differences in the management of the family business are in decision making, but this does not really have an impact on the running of the family business. The method used so that this family business can last a long time is to continue to innovate to keep up with the times, maintain product quality and always be loyal to customers. of differences in the management of the family business is in decision making, but this does not have much impact on the course of the family business.
