Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of debt policy and CEO gender on financial distress. The theory used in this research is agency theory and upper echelon theory. The population in this study are transportation companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2019 – 2021. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling and a total of 84 samples were obtained. The research was conducted using logistic regression analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that debt policy has a negative effect on financial distress and CEO gender has no effect on financial distress
