Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work motivation and work environment variables on the performance variables of modern retail employees in Palembang City. The population in this study are employees who work in modern retail companies in Palembang City. The sampling technique used convenience sampling with a sample taken of 119 respondents. The primary data of this study uses data related to the variables of work motivation, work environment and modern retail employee performance as well as secondary data in this study obtained from the internet. In this study the data analysis techniques used were instrument tests, classical assumption tests, model feasibility tests, and hypothesis testing. Based on the results of hypothesis testing and data analysis, the results of this research are work motivation and work environment significantly influence the performance of modern retail employees in Palembang City.
