Abstract

The leukocyte count test using blood EDTA must be do immediately, if must be postponed attention to shelf life. Examination of the leukocyte count when stored at room temperature should be checked immediately at intervals of less than two hours because of changes in the white blood cell count. Examination of the leukocyte count using EDTA blood samples was stable for 2 hours at a temperature of 200C-250C. Delays in laboratory examinations often occur, usually due to several factors, one of which is shift changes. This study aims to determine whether there is a difference in the results of the leukocyte count that is checked immediately with those that are checked 3 hours from sampling.
