Abstract

A monk has a duty to serve and guide the people both in worldly and spiritual matters. Therefore, high emotional maturity is needed so that monks can carry out their duties properly according to God's will. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between religiosity and emotional maturity in monks of temporary vows. In this study, researchers used quantitative research methods by distributing online scales via google form to temporary vows monks in the CSsR, SCJ and MSF congregations located in Yogyakarta. In addition, the researcher used a simple linear regression analysis technique. Based on this study, it was found that 2.5% of the monks were at a moderate level of religiosity, 97.5% were at a high level of religiosity and 18.8% at a moderate level of emotional maturity, 81.3% at a high emotional maturity. Therefore, it can be concluded that the contribution of the variable of religiosity to the variable of emotional maturity in temporary vows monks is 56.4% and the remaining 43.6% is caused by other factors.
