Abstract

Background:The current prevalence of booster vaccine recipients in the world is 10,944,340,423 people. Data from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, obtained data on vaccine dose 3 on March 21, 2022 as many as 133,294 people. One of the causes of the increasing number of Covid-19 cases is that there are still many people who have not vaccinated, this is because there are still people who do not understand the safety and benefits of booster vaccines. Another cause of the increasing number of cases of Covid-19 is the lack of knowledge of citizens about booster vaccines, from the results of interviews with researchers, several residents said that they only knew what a booster vaccine was, did not find out more about the types, benefits and side effects of vaccines. This causes the behavior of citizens to carry out the vaccine is still lacking. Purpose:To know the description of the knowledge and behavior of the community towards the Covid-19 booster vaccine in Palembang. Methods:The design in this study is quantitative, using a descriptive survey method. Data collection using purposive sampling using 63 respondents. Data collection using a questionnaire was carried out on 11-18 June 2022. Results:Based on the frequency distribution of 31-50 years old, 31 respondents (49.2%).
