Abstract

Social cognition and altruism behavior towards student empathy, where the problem is the decline of altruism behavior so that the attitude to empathize also begins to decrease. The purpose of this study is to find out whether there is a relationship between social cognition and altruism behavior towards empathy. The research participants were active psychology students from Musi Charitas Catholic University in Palembang totaling 115 people. This research method is quantitative. Data collection techniques using questionnaires. The data analysis techniques used are simple linear regression analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results showed a relationship between social cognition variables and altruism behavior towards empathy. Keywords: Social cognition, Altrusm behavior, Empathy
