Abstract

Background : Stunting is a condition of failure to grow in children so that the child's height is shorter than his peers. The characteristics of stunting children are the face looks younger than their age, the teeth growth slows down and the child's body is shorter than his age. According to the Indonesian Ministry of Health in 2021, stunting data was obtained, namely there were 24.4% stunting children and South Sumatra in 2021 stunting cases as many as 3.3% cases. Objective: To know the description of mother's knowledge and attitudes about stunting in toddlers Methods: The research design is descriptive with a research sample of 50 respondents, the sampling technique used is total sampling, the data collection tools in this study are questionnaires and stature meters, and the data analysis used in this study is univariate analysis. Results: The age of respondents in early adulthood is 24 respondents (48%). Toddler age 26 children (52%), high school education 34 respondents (68%). Job not working 46 respondents (92%). Normal child height 24 children (48%). Good knowledge 39 respondents (78%). Enough attitude 41 (82%). Suggestion: It is hoped that the results of this study can add insight to prevent stunting in children under five in the community of RT 07 and 30 Kelurahan Tiga Empat Ulu.
