Abstract

Background : Nurse students are more towards clinical practice in hospitals, in the clinical practice process there are many problems faced by students / nurses plus the Covid-19 pandemic condition which continues to increase and spreads very quickly, so that during clinical practice students feel anxious and afraid in carrying out treatment or care. provide nursing care to patients. As for unpleasant experiences, such as feeling anxious and afraid if contracting the Covid-19 virus and lack of rest time management. Purpose : This study aims to explore and analyze more deeply the experiences of students nurses while serving in hospitals during the Covid-19 pandemic. Method : This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Analysis of the data used by researchers is the analysis according to Colaizzi. The sampling technique applied by the researcher is purposive sampling with 6 students as many participants. The process of collecting data Results : This study resulted in 7 themes, namely: (1) Students' feelings when on duty in the pandemic era; (2) Implementation of the prokes carried out by students while on duty during Covid; (3) Social support received by students during their service during the pandemic era; (4) Obstacles during service in the pandemic era; (5) Efforts made during service during the pandemic era; (6) Student coping strategies while on duty in the pandemic era; (7) The impact felt during service during the Covid-19 pandemic. Offer : Fikes need to improve student coping strategies by conducting orientation before facing direct practice or changes in practice situations that cannot be predicted, such as the Covid-19 pandemic.
