Abstract

The Palembang Convention Center is a public facility that serves as a venue to accommodate or accommodate an activity in the form of convention services for a group of people in Palembang. The Palembang Convention Center has numerous rooms, including rental rooms or function rooms, an auditorium, a convention hall, conference rooms, and other support spaces such as cafés and souvenir sections. Existing facilities are housed in a complex mass of buildings that serve both primary and secondary tasks. The Palembang Convention Center was established on Jalan Governor Haji Bastari, directly across from Lippo Mall Plaza. The Palembang Convention Center's subject is localization, which is described as wisdom or a culture that exists in a region, particularly in the city of Palembang. The subject is reflected in the building by the notion of jasmine blossoms borrowed from the songket motif, where songket is a famous Palembang cultural product, as well as a theme built with a direct comparison architectural approach.
