Abstract

ABSTRACT Attitude can be defined as a positive or negative feeling towards any specific topic, and it is a belief or emotion toward a fact or idea. Nowadays, Instagram is one of the most popular social media used by teenagers. The purpose of this study was to investigate students’ attitudes towards the use of Instagram in learning English. This study involved 100 tenth graders of Xaverius Senior High Schools in Palembang. These participants were selected through simple random sampling technique. Questionnaire was used as an instrument to collect data of this study. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics. It was expected that this study provides beneficial information to students, teachers, school, and future researchers. Keywords: attitude, Instagram, learning English
