Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to test empirically the effect of gross profit margin (GPM) to moderate the relationship of rupiah exchange rate to stock returns on basic industrial and chemical companies. The period used in this study is the period of 2013-2016.Population in this study is the basic industrial company and chemistry listed on the BEI.Pemilihan sample using purposive sampling method with the number of samples of 56 companies.Analisis data used to test the hypothesis is to use the regression test moderasi.Berdasarkan research shows that gross profit margin is not able to moderate the influence of the rupiah exchange rate against stock returns. Keyword : rupiah exchange rate, gross profit margin, stock return.
