Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the role of business strategy and environmental uncertainty on corporate performance at the finance company in Palembang City. Theory used in this research is Resource Based View Theory and Contingency Theory. Population in this study are all branches of finance companies in the city of Palembang located in the office of the Financial Services Authority. This type of research is categorized in the type of causal associative research and the sample in this study amounted to 71.The data used in this study in the form of primary data, data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, classical assumption test and hypothesis test with linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that there is no significant influence between business strategy on corporate performance and environmental uncertainty has no significant effect on company performance.
