Abstract

Fany Meiliyanti, the Influence of Motivation Towards Accounting Student’s Interest to Follow Accounting Profession Education (PPAk) under the Guidance of Miss Delfi Panjaitan, S.E., M.Sc., Ak., BPK., CA. The purpose of this research is to prove the influence of several motivations such as quality motivation, career motivation, and economy motivation towards the accounting student’s interest to follow PPAk. The objects of this research are accounting students of Sriwijaya University, Musi Charitas Catholic University, IBA University, Kader Bangsa University, Bina Darma University, Taman Siswa University, Tridinanti University, Muhammaddiyah University. Data Analysis starts with testing the validity and reliability of the data. On validity testing, the researcher is using the product moment pearson correlation method, meanwhile on the reliability testing, the researcher is using the cronbach’s alpha method. The research data from the questionnaire then be analyzed using frequency test using SPSS version 23.00 and furthermore be analyzed with double linier analysis and classic assumption test. The result of the test shows that the quality motivation affects the accounting student’s interest to follow PPAk. Career motivation did not affect the accounting student’s interest to follow PPAk. Economy motivation affects the accounting student’s interest to follow PPAk.
