Abstract

ABSTRACT Technical High School Musi (STT Musi) Palembang is one of the colleges that use the connection hotspot (Wi-Fi). With this connection, students and faculty can access the network like the Internet through a wired network with a PC computer terminal in the room at the computer lab or laptops that they also have location-campus around the Technical High School Musi Palembang. Based on observations by researchers that the students of Engineering College of Musi has many uses hotspots (Wi-Fi) to be able to do the job classes, establish social networks and also to access things outside of education. The research data obtained directly by the author through observation and questionnaires point rating scale with 1 (one) to 5 (five) provided to respondents as much 82 people who serve as research samples. Therefore, Researchers raised thesis title is "Hotspot Effect Against Index Student Achievement Technical High School Musi Palembang" Data analysis techniques using data analysis techniques used in this study is a quantitative analytical techniques. Testing the validity of using product moment correlation and reliability testing using Cronbach Alpha. Hypothesis testing using spearman rank correlation. Based on the results of research conducted, expected to determine the hotspot effect of student achievement index.
