Abstract

To face the competition in the economic growth, company is required to maintain the continuity of their business. The effort to face these challenges is by controlling production costs. Based on that idea, i tried to make research on small and medium enterprises in the city of Palembang engaged in the manufacturing of the budgetary effects of the production cost of the production cost control with the aim that the production budget can be used as a tool in controlling production costs. The title is taken in this thesis in full is "BUDGET EFFECT ON THE PRODUCTION COSTS OF PRODUCTION COST CONTROL". The purpose of this study was to determine and evaluate the concept of production budget that is applied as a management tool in a company in achieving cost control effectiveness. The method used is purposive sampling method with the number of respondents as many as 34 businesses. Data analysis technique is computerized, namely the application program SPSS version 17.0. Hypothesis testing is done with the Simple Linear Regression Analysis. From the test results it can be concluded whether the hypothesis is accepted or rejected. Subsequent research results shown by the results of hypothesis testing which has a significant value of 0.000 <0,005. The acceptance of this hypothesis suggests that, production budget to promote the effectiveness of the activities of the company and guide the company toward goals of efficiency.
