Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of family ownership to dividend policy. The population in this study is a company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The research sample is applied by using purposive sampling. A total of 39 companies from three different sectors of the sample in this study, namely Basic Industry and Chemical sectors, sectors Property, Real Estate and Building Construction and Miscellaneous Industry 2011-2014. Data were analyzed using simple regression analysis with SPSS version 20. The results showed that the effect of family ownership does not significantly affect dividend policy.
