Abstract

This study aims to describe the value of the character the main character in story the tale of Bitter Tongue and Pulau Kemaro Island. This research was conducted at SD Xaverius VII Palembang. This research is a qualitative research using descriptive method. Data collection techniques were carried out by document analysis and researcher triangulation. Through document analysis, the researcher focuses on analyzing the character values of the main characters in fairy tales. The results of the analysis of the character values of the main characters were validated by one validator at SD Xaverius VII Palembang. The results found the values of self confidence, disclipline, care and responsibility. Researchers linked character values to Basic Competencies to be made into the learning implementation plan. The lesson plans that have been made are validated by the validator at SD Xaverius VII Palembang, the results are in accordance with the values of the characters involved in the fairy tales.
