Abstract
PT Tunas Baru Lampung Tbk, Banyuasin is a company with the main production in the form of Cooking Oil located in Banyuasin KM 14. The process of making cooking oil requires many tools that have roles and functions, one of which is the Clean Cooling Tower and Sealtube Heat Exchanger, where the Sealtube Heat The 881X exchanger works to cool the hot fluid, namely Refined Bleached Deodorized Plam Oil (RBDPO) from the Deodorization Section process by utilizing cold fluid in the form of Cooling Water. Cooling Tower is widely used to increase productivity and efficiency in the production process at PT Tunas Baru Lampung, Tbk Palembang Branch. Cooling tower performance Assess approach and operating range to design value and Identify areas of energy wastage. In order for the distillation process to run smoothly, the Cooling Tower must work optimally to reduce the temperature of the hot RBDPO so that the RBDPO process can continue to the next process. The purpose of this study, among others, is to determine the working efficiency of the Clean Cooling Tower tool on the Sealtube Heat Exchanger in the Refinery unit by calculating Evaporation Loss, Drift Loss, Blowdown, Total Make Up Water on the Sealtube Heat Exchanger and to determine the cooling capacity and work efficiency of Cooling Water. on the Sealtube Heat Exchanger at PT Tunas Baru Lampung, Tbk Palembang Branch. The data collection used is field study, observation, log sheet and literature study. The results of this study have a value that is still efficient enough to produce air lost due to blowdown, evaporation and evaporation loss.
