Abstract

CV Arwana Mas was established on April 3, 1997 under the name CV Arwana Mas, which is located at Jalan Jendral Sudirman No.2232. The main activity carried out by this company is to trade various types of electrical equipment products with various brands, namely in the form of lights, cables, MCB, buttons, panel boxes, etc. And pen makers. One of the superior products from CV Arwana Mas is the panel box where the demand for this panel box is very high where the sales scale of this product covers the areas of South Sumatra, Medan, Jambi, Bengkulu, Bangka Belitung, Riau, Aceh, Java Island, Pontianak, etc. . This makes the production division must always increase its productivity in order to meet demand. From the observations made at the wiring system assembly station. It still doesn't have a good level of performance where there is a buildup of panel box products that have not been wired, which causes the waiting time or queuing time for each product to be long, resulting in a fairly long product queue. This is because the processing time for wiring is quite long, where in completing the cable assembly process it takes 2 to 3 hours for small panels and 4 to 10 hours for large panels. Therefore, a proposal was given to increase the number of workers. From the results of observations and analysis, the proposed improvement of the queuing system at CV Arwana Mas is the addition of 2 cable assembly workers where the resulting output is an additional 3 to 4 electrical panel units.
